Peer Review Process

The Integrated Communication Systems Journal (ICSJ) applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. In this review model, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain an objective and unbiased evaluation.

All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial team to determine their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, formatting requirements, originality, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal standards or are outside the scope of the journal may be rejected without external review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality and novelty of the research

  • Technical and scientific quality

  • Methodological validity

  • Clarity of presentation

  • Relevance to the journal scope

  • Quality of analysis and discussion

  • Significance of contribution to the field

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept Submission

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Resubmit for Review

  • Reject Submission

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and submit a detailed response to each review point. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The editorial team reserves the right to make the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance. All accepted articles undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before publication.

ICSJ is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, confidential, and timely peer review process in accordance with international academic publishing standards and publication ethics.
